Nations League divisie A met Nederland en België 2018/19

De Nations League divisie A met Nederland en België is de hoogste divisie. Groepswedstrijden worden gespeeld gedurende 6 wedstrijddagen in september, oktober en november 2018. Het betreffen zowel een uit- als een thuiswedstrijd.

League A bestaat uit 12 landen. Deze landen worden ingedeeld in 4 poules van 3 landen, waarbij de groepswinnaars de Final Four spelen. De Final Four zijn wedstrijden om te bepalen wie kampioen van de Nations League wordt, en bestaan een halve finales, troostfinale en finale. Het maximale prijzengeld voor een land uit League A bedraagt €7,5 miljoen.

Kwalificatie voor het EK 2020

De winnaars van elke groep plaatsen zich voor de play-offs. De play-offs zullen bestaan uit alle 4 winnaars van deze divisie, mits het land al niet rechtstreeks geplaatst is voor het EK 2020. De winnaar van deze play-offs plaatst zich rechtstreeks voor het EK 2020.

Promotie en degradatie 2018/19

Vanuit deze League zullen 4 landen degraderen naar League B. De 4 winnaars van de groepen in Leauge A spelen voor het kampioenschap in een knock-out systeem, genaamd de Final Four.
